Kids World Interview
Sindy: Most recently you are promoting a new line of adventure books, can you tell our readers what to expect from them?
Dylan: Expect action and adventure. We think reading is cool and have worked on a series of books to put cool back into reading.
Sindy: What kinds of books do you like to read in your free time?
Cole: We like to read everything from comic books to novels. We think it's important to read and can be fun if you have the right material.
Sindy: You are working on a movie called A Modern Twain Story: The Prince and the Pauper. Can you tell us a little bit about it?
Both: Prince and the Pauper was a small film we did last November in Florida. It's a modern day version of Mark Twain's classis "The Prince and the Pauper" and is aimed towards our younger audience.
Sindy: How do you balance promotion for all your side projects with the filming of The Suite Life?
Cole: Ask our manager that question. He keeps our schedules!
Sindy: You got your start in the industry at a very young age - have you ever wanted to give it all up?
Dylan: No, we love acting. At least for now this is our passion but nothing is forever. We have so much fun doing what we do.
Sindy: Many of your side projects are dealt with by Dualstar Entertainment, a company owned by the Olsen twins. Have Mary-Kate and Ashley ever passed along advice to you?
Dylan: Mary-Kate and Ashley have always given us great advice. It really means a lot to us that they care so much about what we're doing. They've been through it themselves so we take their advice very seriously.
Sindy: What style of clothing can fans expect from your upcoming clothing line?
Cole: We're really excited about our new line of graphic T-shirts, hoodies and shorts. We can't wait for the newer stuff to come out next month! Be sure to check it out at valsurf.com!
Sindy: What are your favorite movies?
Both: We have too many to list! We like all kinds of movies. We're usually so busy that we don't really have much time to watch as many as we'd like.
Sindy: Favorite TV shows?
Cole: Lost is a really great show. Again, we're too busy!
Sindy: What advice would you give to kids looking to break into the entertainment industry?
Dylan: If it's your passion, go for it! This is not a job for someone looking for a hobby. It's a big commitment. Also having the right agent or manager is important. You really need to have someone on your side that puts your life as a kid first...not the other way around.
