Time for kids Interview
TFK: Describe your characters in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Dylan: Well, Zack is a very rambunctious little devil. He is the older twin and loves to do pranks. He is also very sly. Even though Cody is smarter, Zack can trick Cody into doing things.
Cole: Cody is a very smart, very nice twin. He also knows when to stop when involved in a prank. Basically, he has the ability to reason when things will get out of hand, but it doesn’t do him very much good.
TFK: Can you relate to your characters?
Cole: Yes, we can. Actually, our characters were originally based off of us with a few slight differences.
TFK: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of acting as a career and lifestyle?
Dylan: Really, there are not a lot of down sides to working on this show. We have a great cast. We all get along really well.
TFK: What is it like to work on the set of the Tipton Hotel? Do you wish you really did live there, like Zack and Cody?
Dylan: It’s great. I mean, who doesn’t want to live in a hotel?
Cole: I don’t think I really would. I like having a house. I want to feel like I have my own property and space. I want to put my stuff on the walls. Also, in your own home, you can stomp around and stuff. You don’t have to worry about people next to you, below you or above you.
TFK: How has acting on this show affected your life?
Dylan: It’s affected my life in a way that makes it great, but at the same time, there are things like not getting to see your friends every day.
Cole: It’s also changed in the way that we were used to walking around everywhere, without having to really think about it. Now, when we go out, people always recognize us and say ‘Oh, my gosh! It’s Zack and Cody!’
TFK: How do you stay on top of schoolwork while acting?
Dylan: We have a great teacher here on the set, Sissie, and she teaches us for at least three hours a day with a little inspiration every now and then when we see a picture of her brilliantly cute dog.
Cole: Yeah, we get by with it. Of course, there are times when we think it’s too hard and we can’t do it, but want kid doesn’t think that? What kid really wants to be in school every day?
TFK: What do you do between scenes on the set?
Dylan: Mainly school. We try to get some exercise in too. I know it’s not good for your health to be cooped up in some dark room for six hours a day.
Cole: We like to surf and snow board. We’re really active kids. We go to the park, ride bikes, and we like to play swords.
